Photos are private until there is a reason not to be
By default, every member's photos are blurred to everyone who is not a confirmed match. This is not a privacy setting buried three screens deep — it is on when you sign up, and you choose if and when it comes off.
It is also enforced properly. The blurred image is a separate file generated at upload; the sharp one is never sent to a browser that is not entitled to see it. There is no filter to remove in developer tools and no URL to edit.
Nobody can message you without your consent
Conversations only exist after both people have expressed interest. There is no inbox full of messages from strangers, because there is no way to send one. Declining an interest is silent — the other person is not told, and cannot argue with it.
Your wali can be genuinely present
If you invite a guardian, they receive read-only access to your conversations. They can never send a message, never act in your name, and never change anything about your account. Every time they open a conversation it is recorded, and you can see the log.
Oversight that cannot itself be seen is surveillance, not oversight. That is why the access log exists, and why revoking access signs them out immediately.
Safety is never something you pay for
Identity verification, photo blur, Wali mode, blocking, reporting and human moderation are free for every member and always will be, and so is everything else: unlimited messages, advanced filters, seeing everyone who liked you. There are no paid plans, because charging for safety would mean the people most at risk are the ones who go without it.
We tell you how the matching works
Every compatibility score comes with its working: how much of it is deen, lifestyle, family goals and personality, and the specific reasons behind the number. If someone did not answer a question, that question is skipped rather than counted against them.
What we are not
There is no casual browsing of unblurred photos. There is no open messaging. Card-stack browsing is off unless you turn it on. Everything here is built around one outcome: nikah.
